It was an extremely huge undertaking to bring Freaks and Geeks onto DVD. Series creator Paul Feig and producer Judd Apatow turned to fans of the show to help convince studios to release the DVD. They were successful and Freaks & Geeks: The Complete Series finally got its release (both in a Special Edition and a 8 Disc Fan Edition).
